Simply pour a cup of baking soda into the toilet bowl and let sit for about five minutes. Brush thoroughly with a toilet brush. After doing that, flush the toilet to rinse it.

If your rental home’s bathroom has tile, you should have the grout deep cleaned to avoid bacterial growth. Bleach and a grout brush are the best ways to lighten discolored grout lines and kill anything trying to grow between your tile. To really keep grout watertight, don’t forget to reseal it every six months or so to keep moisture and bacteria out. Bleach can also be used to address any mold growing in windowsills or other areas. Prepare the solution by mixing one part bleach to two parts water and scrub any mold spots with a sponge.
